If you owe a balance to a previous university, it may be difficult to access your official transcript until the balance is paid off. Without a transcript, you likely will not be able to apply at another college. We can help you navigate the next steps in getting to your transcript, moving forward towards your goals and getting back to school quickly.

Some states are shifting their policies and may not withhold transcripts due to owed tuition, so you might have some protections depending on the state you live in, that will help you access your official transcripts. 

Step one

Contact the office that handles bill payments, sometimes called Payment Services, the Bursar, or Registrar's Office, at the school where funds are due and ask for payment plan options or debt forgiveness. A ReUp Success Coach can still support you in your goals while you work on paying the balance. 

Step two

Once you can access your transcript, request a copy of your official transcript which you can have sent to another university as part of an application to apply.
