What to do next

If you're close to finishing, a good first move is finding out what still counts, what returning may cost, and which path fits your life now.

  • Connect with the contact listed for your school
  • Ask whether Michigan Reconnect may help if you're 25 or older — it may significantly lower your costs
  • Check whether a debt forgiveness program or payment plan may help if you have an outstanding balance
  • Look into online or hybrid options that fit your schedule
  • Apply first — at most schools, applying is what unlocks advising and gets your credits reviewed

You've already done important work toward your degree. Returning is about building from that progress with the right support behind you.
